It was supposed to be the perfect weekend. Just you, me… and my chance at revenge.
Until they arrived…
The fire crackles gently in the grate as my partner Finn fills my glass with red wine. We thought this lighthouse keeper’s cottage on the wild Irish coast would be the perfect secret getaway. Then there’s a knock at the door…
A rain-soaked couple tell us that they’ve booked the house for the weekend too. I look to Finn, but he steps aside to let them in. I stiffen. This trip isn’t just a chance for Finn and me to fall deeper in love. Nobody can know the real reason we’re here. My life is hanging by a thread. I have no choice but to welcome the couple with open arms, offer them a drink, and tell them we’ll have this all sorted out by the morning.
Finn doesn’t know the real me, but it seems I don’t know him either.
This other couple is here for a reason, and one of us won’t be leaving this place alive…
‘I loved every part of this story. When you think you know how all the pieces fit, the author lifts the book to the next level by revealing a few juicy bits and I happily gobbled them up… I adored this… 5 stars.’ B for Book Review, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
